本书针对我国大都市地区低收入者住宅困难问题，定位于中国廉租房供给体系研究，涵盖建筑学、社会学、经济学、法学等领域，通过与日本70年代以来公营住宅供给体系发展变革的对比，从住宅政策、住宅工业化生产和集约化设计、以及低收入者住居心理研究三个方面对我国的廉租房供给体系进行了全方位的分析、探讨和反思。

2011年于日本东京大学取得博士学位，现执教于浙江大学建筑系，长期从事住宅计划学与人居环境研完。以及建筑设计与建筑认知的教学工作极为关注社会弱势群体，如低收入者、高龄者、与残障者的居住困难问题，并对国内外相关领域进行深入调查和研究，试图有针对性地、通过对我国相关政策法令的调整、住宅设计与生产方式的优化整合，全面提升弱势群体的居住品质。 2012年3月任教于浙江大学建筑工程学院建筑系 2005年6月本科，哈尔滨工业大学，建筑学 2008年1月哈尔滨工业大学，建筑设计及其理论，硕士 2011年9月日本东京大学，建筑学，博士
