本书是以中国高校英语专业学生为研究对象,对他们在外语课堂环境下,在大学的四个学习阶段中的英语词汇广度与深度知识的发展所做的调查研究。该研究发现学生英语词汇广度与深度知识的发展具有不均匀性、不同步性、不同的动态性、不同的相关强度、近义词发展的僵化性等特征,该项研究结果对理解二语词汇知识的习得及发展具有重要启示。

张文红,毕业于山东大学外国语学院英语语言文学专业,曾任山东大学外国语学院大学英语教学部教师。2000年获日本东京学艺大学外国语教育专业硕士学位,2010年获山东大学语言学博士学位。2007年至2008年在英国设菲尔德大学做访问学者。现任中国政法大学外国语学院副教授。主要研究方向为二语习得、语言教学与语用学。
